You would think that when you leave school you’re prepared for the “real world” and have the tools and knowledge you need to succeed on the road ahead…but that’s not always the case. Although it’s argued whether school (college) is a good idea or not, there’s no denying the fact that life lessons (call them, “street smarts”) are critical for the masses to learn, practice and master. There is a small majority of people who can rely on their book smarts to make it through this world, but for the rest of us, we need street smarts…and lots of them.
I break down the top 7 things I’ve learned since I graduated college that have paved the road to my accomplishments. These skills make the world go ’round so dive in, take notes and be prepared to step up your game in music, life, business and more.

Dream Cymbals: Dream Cymbals are a different kind of cymbal company because they keep it simple. Their approach is simple: Make high-quality, handcrafted cymbals and gongs and sell them for a reasonable price. PLUS, you an bring your old, cymbals (even if they’re cracked) and trade them in for a new dream cymbal. For every inch of cymbal you bring in, you get $1 off your cymbal. Have a broken 20″ crash? Trade it in for $20 off your next Dream Cymbal. The coolest part is they recycle the old, broken-down cymbals and use the material to make their crotales and crop circles.
