622 – Trevor Lawrence, Jr: An OG’s Perspective

It’s hard to classify Trevor Lawrence by genre or even by title, so I’ll leave it at Musician. The highly acclaimed Lawrence is a drummer, DJ, producer, songwriter and much more. He’s been a longtime collaborator with Dr. Dre, has worked with other hip hop artists like Snoop Dog, Eminen and 50 cent, which is impressive enough. What’s more impressive is that he’s equally as prolific in other genres and regularly performs with Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and other luminaries. Trevor’s level of versatility is second to none, which is why he’s one of the most sought-after drummers, producers and songwriters in the music business.

There’s a lot of literal cloning going on now. In my day we called that “biting”!
