Tom Hurst has built a career the old fashioned way – he earned it. For the past 25 years, Tom has been working in music in a variety of capacities. From marching bands, to cruise gigs, to Disney and eventually national and international tours, Tom’s dedicated his life to the craft. He’s also a University of Florida graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in Music specializing in Ethnomusicology as well as has his Masters in Music Education with an emphasis in Jazz Studies.

Throughout this conversation Tom connects the dots of how he was able to go from a young, eager drummer in Gainesville, FL to an in-demand drummer in Music City.
