Should you give up

513 – Should you give up on your dream?

There are plenty of talking heads who suggested if you haven’t “made it” by a certain age you never will. While I agree that the music business is a young person’s game, there isn’t a black and white, one-size-fits-all answer to this question. This episode explores late-bloomers in their field and serves as a guide to help you make better decisions about your career, whether your full-time or not.

Stop putting an age limit on music. Telling someone that if they haven’t “made it” by a certain age that they never will is ridiculous. There’s no age limit in music. -Bernard Purdie (Tweet this)

It all depends on your version of “making it” If your version is globe-trotting in your customized Lear jet and performing before presidents and dignitaries, yes. If your version of “making it” is to pay your bills strictly thru your music and you don’t have lofty aspirations and 15 baby-mamas, you have a MUCH better shot!
