651 – Elena Bonomo: From Berklee to Broadway

Elena Bonomo has had her eye on the prize from an early age, coming from a family of musicians, including her uncle who gave her her first drum lesson. Through private lessons, Berklee College of Music, the school of hard knocks, and sheer determination, Elena has carved out a path for herself. That path includes Drumming for the 1st National Tour of the hit Broadway musical, Waitress, and, after two successful runs at the American Repartory Theater in Cambridge, MA and at The Ordway in St. Paul, Minnesota, holding the drum chair for Broadway’s newest hit musical, SIX. Not to mention recently being featured as the house drummer for Late Night Seth Myers, and a slew of other projects.

With her career humming along, I’d be the first person to say that Elena has “arrived” but if you ask her, she’s just getting started.

Be a good person to work with, be nice, and be grateful.
