Your playing is paramount to your success. Period. But it doesn’t matter how well you play…if you can’t get along with people and have a poor attitude, your phone won’t ring. There are plenty of players who are in the top echelon of drummers but can’t get a gig. Why? They’re arrogant, can’t get along with others are typically hard to deal with. It may seem like common sense to “not be a jerk” but there are a lot of things you can do to not only not be a jerk but also go the extra mile so your good attitude and reputation precedes you.
