Having a successful career in one band is hard enough, but for Mike Marsh, he’s managed to have two successful careers with two completely different bands. Marsh was the founding drummer for Dashboard Confessional, an unassuming band that grew in popularity over time, resulting in world tours and everything else that comes with being in a famous Rock band. That success parlayed into a chance meeting with Rick Rubin, which completely altered the trajectory of Mike’s career. Fast forward to today and Mike is the full-time drummer for the Avett Brothers, a band that he says has changed his life.
