209: Talent VS Skill
There are plenty of people who argue both sides of the debate: Is success based on talent or hard work and skill?
Over the years of studying successful people both inside and outside the music business, I’ve found that it’s a mixture of both. But, make no mistake, there’s not a single person who has achieved massive success in music or in any other aspect of life without ridiculous amounts of hard work.
“Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.” (Tweet this)

Dream Cymbals: Dream Cymbals are a different kind of cymbal company because they keep it simple. Their approach is simple: Make high-quality, handcrafted cymbals and gongs and sell them for a reasonable price. PLUS, you can bring your old cymbals (even if they’re cracked) and trade them in for a new Dream Cymbal. For every inch of cymbal you bring in, you get $1 off your cymbal. Have a broken 20″ crash? Trade it in for $20 off your next Dream Cymbal. The coolest part is they recycle the old, broke cymbals and use the material to make their crotales and crop circles. Check them out at DreamCymbals.com
