101 – Health and fitness for musicians on the go with Mike Vacanti

In this podcast I chat with Mike  Vacanti to discuss health and fitness for musicians on the go.  Far too often us musicians keep late hours, are constantly on the road, and playing in bars that serve “bar food”.  All of this often makes it hard to find the time and resources to exercise and eat healthy.  Being that drumming is such a physical activity it’s important to keep yourself in decent shape and to feed your body with the right food to keep your performing at your highest level. The thing that I love about Mike’s approach (and the reason that I interviewed him) is because his whole message is “fitness stuff for normal people”  Mike doesn’t cater to people who want to live in a gym and eat like rabbits; quite the opposite actually. His focus on people who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying life.  People like CEO’s of companies (his main client is CEO Gary Vaynerchuck of VaynerMedia…check him out, you’ll learn a LOT!) musicians on the go and people who like to keep busy but want to keep healthy.

“These are life’s six rules for success:

1. Trust yourself

2. Break some rules

3. Don’t be afraid to fail

4. Ignore the naysayers

5. Work like hell

6. Give something back.

Just remember, you can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

In this podcast you’ll hear Mike Vacanti talk about:
