263 – Ray Luzier: Alive and kicking with KoRn

In 2008, Ray Luzier struck gold when he landed the gig with the mega-group, KoRn. From the outside this may have seemed like a lucky break, but make no mistake about it, Ray got this gig for one reason: he deserved it. The risk-taking kid who left home at 18 to pursue music in Los Angeles is now widely respected as one of the greatest drummers in the world. Ray starting paying his dues at Musician’s Institute as a student, then teacher then eventually manning the drum throne behind acts like: David Lee Roth, Steel Panther, Army of Anyone and more. Ray is a hard-working, go-all-in kinda guys (as a person and as a drummer) and that attitude has served him well over the years, putting him on the biggest stages around the world.
