164 – How to get out of a rut

We’ve all been there…stuck in a rut. Dealing with some level of worry, fear, lack of creativity, blah blah blah. While it happens to all of us, and there’s no avoiding it, there are a few ways to get out of of rut once you’re in one. Ruts can last for hours, days, weeks, moths or even years and learning how to get out of them is paramount. Why? Because they’re perpetual by nature and feed off themselves. The rut makes you focus on, well, the rut. And the more you focus on it the worse it gets. Luckily, most of the time  you can work your way out of a rut by shifting your mindset and routines. In this podcast I breakdown 7 ways I get out of a rut. There’s aren’t earth-shattering, never been used before tactics, but they’re what work for me. Hopefully they’ll work for you too.

Dream Cymbals: Dream Cymbals are a different kind of cymbal company because they keep it simple. Their approach is simple: Make high-quality, handcrafted cymbals and gongs and sell them for a reasonable price. PLUS, you an bring your old, cymbals (even if they’re cracked) and trade them in for a new dream cymbal. For every inch of cymbal you bring in, you get $1 off your cymbal. Have a broken 20″ crash? Trade it in for $20 off your next Dream Cymbal. The coolest part is they recycle the old, broken-down cymbals and use the material to make their crotales and crop circles.
