169 – David Garibaldi: Still funky after all these years

In this podcast I talk to David Garibaldi, who is one of the most influential drummers of his generation and  known as an innovator in funk drumming. He’s also one of my biggest drumming influences of all time so this conversation was extremely special for me. David, known for being the founding (and current) drummer of Tower of Power, is also widely praised as an author and educator. David’s book, Furutre Sounds has served as a bible for funk drumming for drummers all over the world and is regarded as one of the top 25 timeless drum books of all time. David is also a Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame inductee.
