A Message from Nick

Hey, I’m Nick Ruffini – Drummer and Founder of Drummer’s Resource. I started this podcast in 2013 because I wanted to have in-depth conversations with the greatest drummers in the world to glean as much knowledge from them as possible and then share those conversations with the world. But, I wasn’t necessarily looking for ways to play a better paradiddle. I wanted to learn about the intangibles like how they approach a recording session, what makes a song feel good, how they balance touring life with home life, dealing with failure and much more.
That has been the goal of the podcast since 2013 and I’m proud to say we’ve achieved that and so much more over the years.

We all know that the best way to learn is by doing. But, what if you're just getting started, don't know where to look or just flat out don't know what you don't know? I've had all these questions and more throughout my 20+ year career and I figured the best way to learn is to ask the people I admire. That's what this podcast is all about: getting into the minds of the greatest drummers in the world who've accomplished success in the studio, on the road, in the classroom or in the music industry in some capacity.
